Yesterday afternoon the Dutch Cookbook of the Year awards were presented at the beautiful National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam. Our book Home Made SUMMER was nominated in the ‘Best Dutch Cookbook’ category, so we were really happy already. We didn’t win that prize this time, the lovely book on baking: ‘Het Nederlands Bakboek‘ did, and very well deserved.

Anyhow, we were not to worry because we did receive….the ELLE Photography award. Well, Oof Verschuren, my husband, did of course. So we are over the moon.

This also gives me the opportunity to tell my Dutch friends that the Summer book will have a new cover soon. We loved the American one so much, we decided to change it for the reprint. It will be in the stores soon I suppose. Don’t you just love it?

Also, de ladies who made the cookbook: De Groene Garde won in the category ‘Most durable book’. Remember I told you a while ago that I also left a recipe in that book? So congrats to them too!
