Yvette van Boven (born in Ireland from Dutch parents), divides her time between Amsterdam and Ireland. She is a food writer, chef, columnist and television presenter.
Yvette works as a culinary editor for woman’s weekly Libelle Magazine and as a food columnist and illustrator for Volkskrant Magazine, the weekend magazine for Volkskrant Newspaper and for delicious. magazine. On top of that she hosts the Dutch cooking show Koken met van Boven for VPRO television from her own kitchen.
Yvette also works as a freelance illustrator, food stylist or writer for either editorial or commercial clients. Her work has appeared in magazines or newspapers such as Bon Appétit, delicious., Elle Food, Elle, Red, Food & Wine, Volkskrant, Flow, Libelle, Margriet, and many books of her own or for other authors.
Together with her husband, photographer Oof Verschuren, she made a number of critically acclaimed cookbooks. The first book Home Made was named ‘Cookbook of the year 2010’ and her work has since then been released worldwide, translated into English, German, Spanish and French.
